The Tortuga Society gets serious

Introducing my partner and COO (WRP #100)

On this numerically significant installment of Walt Right Perspectives I catch up with

, my business partner and COO at The Tortuga Society.

Theon has played an essential role over the past few months overseeing day-to-day admin tasks while I detox off addy and write songs about Jewish women.

Now that I’m ready to step back into an active leadership role, I wanted to take the opportunity to formally introduce Theon to my wider audience, update everyone on the Tortuga Society’s recent progress, and announce the much-anticipated commencement of our external staffing venture.

Theon and I are incredibly excited about this last item because it will allow us to place Tortugans directly into roles while simultaneously pocketing a five-figure placement fee. It goes without saying there’s a tremendous amount of money to be made if we can execute this correctly. Thankfully I’m not going in blind.

Currently we have multiple senior members with ample connections throughout Corporate America supplying us leads, and are offering them a generous cut of the placement fee to help get business going. But we can never have enough leads, so if you’re interested in making a few shekels together just drop me an email at wb.vitalist@gmail.com and we’ll discuss terms.

Topics include:

  • Theon’s participation as a young man in the 2015-2017 Alt Right and reemergence last year into the Walt Right

  • How Theon first established himself as a leader in the Tortuga Society and why Walter chose to bring him on as his equity partner and COO

  • The Tortuga Society has evolved into a vibrant curated space full of smart and agentic guys actively involved in helping us build resources for members:

    • Queen Anne’s Revenge (QAR) - a tool by

to automatically submit AI-generated resumes to listings on LinkedIn

    • Buccaneer Bootcamp - Sesped’s lightweight course aimed at helping Tortugans quickly secure a remote position as a data analyst

    • Tortuga Technical Institute -

is hosting a call twice per month to facilitate collaboration on open source projects

    • Additional resources in the pipeline for interview prep

    • We also run a biweekly standup call (every Tuesday evening and Thursday afternoon) where members can share progress and shoot the shit

  • Theon explains our operational plans for the external staffing arm we’ve formed to directly place Tortuga Society members into roles

  • Tortuga has begun to expand our resource library with the long-term goal of fighting intellectual ghettoization—we want to build cultural capital in STEM guys and cultivate math skills + financial self-sufficiency in arts / humanities guys

  • Over the past month we’ve begun to lay the foundation for a fundraising network of midsize investors to support interesting artistic projects that struggle to attract donors under the existing arts regime

  • Theon discusses his recently acquired third remote job (J3) and how he’s been enjoying his multiple incomes

  • Job stacking oughtn’t be degen-coded; it is entirely compatible with a traditional lifestyle and actually makes such a thing far easier to pursue

  • Theon explains the hardest thing about job stacking
