This is a great song. If I imagine it on stage, it would be the man singing it infront of his mirror about Katie, mocking her, and then the actress playing Katie would be visible on the other side of the mirror as he sings to it/her. Narrating her life and actions somewhat. Then she would join in with the singing, they’d both be singing. Then as the song nears its end, they could both be speaking in unison the line ‘it’s not my fault’, screaming it at each other, and then protesting and singing this mutually at the mirror, the mirror shatters. BUT then I’d have the mirror as an actress too. Like maybe with special effects the frame of the mirror could have been her the whole time. Breaking away, like a slick ballerina, she goes into the next song…
That framing would introduce the dual nature of trying to comprehend another’s consciousness/agency. And restore the un-knowing of sexual difference
Alt Broadway. I won’t stop until you’re doing this professionally with a cast.
This is great.

I like the changes to the ending!
