>Blue city hatred for conservatives is often sublimated family resentment

Don't need to listen to the episode to enthusiastically cosign this one, kek. I was raised in the liberal suburbs of a big city and changed sides because the right had better arguments, so it took me a lot longer than it should have to wrap my head around how intense and intractable this dynamic is. There is a not inconsequential demographic of people who'd rather bleed out on the pavement than notice the race of the guy who did it, because that might mean admitting that Dad back in flyover country was right about something.

It’s crazy how long it took me to really see this! But once you understand it, everything about the present-day Left makes more sense. I also think that part of maturing is separating actual abuse from parents and other family members just being flawed people who did the best they could with whatever their situation is. Perhaps one of the best ways of getting past the adolescent type Left-wing hatred of family is actually understanding more about how one’s own parents and grandparents were raised and what challenges they faced.

Good interview! I sent the website for this exhibit to people. Much love from Australia.

To be franc, I’m a chemical engineer who has a pro-technology and vax bias but the social measures we had in place got really bloody scary.

There's so many jokes about Australia in Out of Lockstep, and I really want to show it there some day. My business partner practically had a nervous breakdown over one of the videos about the camps in Australia and is convinced he would be dead or in jail now if he'd lived in Australia during 2020/2021. He also thinks we might be barred from entering Australia with this kind of content, but I don't think so. Thanks for sharing this!

The point at which the CMFEU construction Union didn’t let construction workers go to work and they started condemning protests was the minute it all snapped for me.

Great to see more elder millennial "representation", plus some pushback on the Covid narrative that too many have tried to memory hole. Best of luck to Anna with the upcoming exhibition.
