Ha, this was hilarious to listen to because it was such a perfect illustration of why Walt didn't like Kansas and should never date a conservative woman. Aly wants settled-down Reacher. Though given she was in the military and surrounded by those guys, that is definitely not surprising. Walt wants nothing to do with any of that.
Also, WTF does liberal and conservative even mean anymore? It seems to come down to nothing but abortion, whether you think rich people or regular people should pay more/less taxes, and the rest is all aesthetics. Aly and I agree on probably almost nothing politcally, but have similar taste in men and similar temperaments and probably even aesthetics.
Well, it's also about masculine vs feminine, about "Experimental delusion for utopia" vs "Sticking to what is tried and true / civilization is not a game" (Read everything from DeepLeftAnalysis) and about "Warrior class" vs "Brahmin-Waisya alliance" as well.
The "left" position during the Roman Empire is anti-abortion - during the pre-Christian Roman Empire, the male-female ratio of Roman Empire was 3 males per 2 females, despite all the wars and murder fest of the ancient world, because more than 1 female baby = Abort the baby because it's just a hassle. Those Christian & Islamic stories about aborting female babies are true, actually - A LOT of early Christians were women because of this.
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is a fantastic book. Francie’s story: growing up as a young woman in NYC in the 1910s—resonated with me deeply, even as a Zillenial man. That to me is the real benchmark of great literature: its ability to let you step fully into the interior of someone so from your own and still feel total empathetic understanding.
Feel like its kind of obvious, more out there brands of conservatism that trad wives embrace are not embraced by broader society, so it takes a more masculine persona. While more feminine women will gravitate tward whatever the masses are up to.

The military was actually full of dullard, feminine men when I served. 😆 But, there are a handful of mate-worthy men in there for sure.
I sort of feel like it's all myth at this point
It IS about aesthetics.

Dunno if I should go into the military at this point. Maybe fight for Ukraine instead.
Everyone's open to something, and everyone wants to preserve something.
imo Conservative and Liberal have always been empty words.
I did not expect this collab. Pleasant surprise
All women have a "narcissistic" ex—says the guy whose entire dating history is "BPD" girls 😂

Finally, someone that dosen't overidealize the 1950s (although I like them a lot). Sprawl is really what ruined America and made us such soft pussies.
